FRAUD DISCLAIMER AND ALERT

It has come to our attention that fraudulent actors are impersonating attorneys and staff members of legitimate U.S. law firms, including firms engaged in corporate and startup law. These impersonators may contact individuals domestically or internationally, claiming to represent this office. Please be advised: any such communication purporting to originate from our firm regarding matters outside of our practice areas is fraudulent.

The Jo Law Firm provides legal services in the area of startup law. We do not represent clients in personal injury, probate, or criminal matters. We do not engage in the disbursement of funds from accident settlements, estates, or any non-startup-related legal transactions. If you are contacted by anyone claiming to be from our office in connection with such matters, please be aware that this is a fraudulent communication.

We do not solicit individuals via phone or text for legal services, nor do we request personal or financial information from unsolicited contacts.

Official communications from our law firm will only come from verified email addresses ending in @thejolawfirm.com. Please exercise caution with any communication using a similar or spoofed domain.

Fraudsters may impersonate law firms or their personnel to perpetrate schemes involving fake legal threats, promises of monetary disbursements, or fabricated claims of criminal or civil action. These attempts often involve phishing emails, spoofed phone calls, and false documents bearing the names of real attorneys.

If you receive any unsolicited message, call, or email requesting personal information or referencing fund transfers allegedly involving our firm, you should assume it is fraudulent. Do not respond, click on any links, or provide any information. We strongly recommend reporting such activity to your local law enforcement agency, and where applicable, to the FBI’s Internet Crime Complaint Center (IC3) at www.ic3.gov.

Please note that this notice is for informational purposes only. It does not constitute legal advice and does not establish an attorney-client relationship between you and The Jo Law Firm.

The Jo Law Firm disclaims any responsibility or liability for fraudulent activities carried out by third parties misusing the name, logo, domain, or identity of our firm or its personnel. We do not accept any liability for losses or damages resulting from such fraudulent communications.

For your protection, please verify any unexpected communication purportedly from our office by contacting us directly at our publicly listed contact information.
